I was a regular at Moochies and absolutely loved everything the cafe and Molly had to offer but having only recently launched, they were in desperate need of an online presence outside of social media.

I worked with Molly to identify an elegant but sustainable solution that she could self-manage when I was no longer in Sri Lanka. This resulted in custom-built site plus training so she could always be in control of the site.

research, design, build, train
Working so closely with this client meant that we were able to turn around the website within a 2-week timeline from the initial discovery session to the launch.
It was an efficient, cost-effective and smooth-running project that both of us were extremely satisfied with.
kick off
An initial kick-off session with Molly the founder to understand the website needs and budget.
discovery
A quick ompetitor research on both local and global companies within the same industry.
design
Initial wireframes were presented to the client with 2 design options to choose from. Following this, full UI designs were created with placeholder content, working closely with the client on content (copy & imagery) & branding.
setup & build
Domain, hosting & site set up with BlueHost before custom multi-page build in WordPress. Photo editing was also included as part of the production to create consistency across the site.
training & enablement
A three part online tutorial series was created for the team at Moochies alongside two in-person training sessions of key team members to ensure basic editing and updating skills were available in-house. Molly has since been able to maintain and manage the website on her own which has been amazing for self-sufficiency!
